The NEAT Center: Smart Home on Wheels! (in-person & virtual)
AARP CT and NEAT are hosting monthly smart home technology demonstrations in 2022. Each tour will highlight a specific area of need to showcase the latest, cutting-edge technologies and offer insight on the ways that these tools can support independent living and social connections.
All events will take place virtually and can be accessed with the links provided below. The event will include a tour of the Smart Home on Wheels, a mobile demonstration center where individuals and groups can learn more about how technology can support independent living. Events are FREE, but registration is required. We hope to see you there!
December 1st: 12pm – 2pm; Security: Motion Detection, Door & Window Sensors, & Smart Locks
Visit the SHOW to learn more about how to secure your home with smart technology. We will discuss how you can use motion sensors with smart lights to prevent falling. We will also talk about door and window sensors and what advantages they have for your home. We will demonstrate Smart Door Locks that will allow you to unlock and lock your doors with the press of a button. All this technology will be accessed through one central hub within the Alexa app.
