Texthelp CEO Mark McCusker, said: “Rapid advancements in technology, coupled with services increasingly being driven online, has resulted in changing user needs, so we put browsealoud under the microscope to find ways to better serve their needs. Our users are at the heart of everything we do and the new browsealoud offers them even greater accessibility to online content than ever before.”
International accessibility experts Funka were consulted during the development of the new Browsealoud. Susanna Laurin, Funka CEO, said: “Browsealoud helps organizations communicate with far wider audiences by making their website’s accessible, regardless of reading ability, language or impairment. The product developments announced today make the browsealoud experience an even better one, opening up the digital world to yet more individuals. In Scandinavia, browsealoud has been a game changer for persons with reading and writing difficulties since 2008, and I am sure the new design will increase the usage even more.”
Customers with the browsealoud panel integrated into their website will automatically see a new look launchpad and toolbar. Customers with a customized launchpad (using an image or text to launch the toolbar) will see a new look toolbar only. All customers, from 7 September can access the new customer portal and use the integration wizard to upgrade to the latest version at no extra cost.
